Travel trailers are a great way to get on the road without having to worry about pulling a heavy, hard-to-maneuver rig. Jayco revised the Feather with a new cap on the front, moving away from fiberglass. Though not a new feature, the trailer also retained its Lippert Quick Drop stabilizers, giving owners a factory-installed manual stabilizer system that keeps the Feather planted and secure in a range of situations.
Though the trailer is on the small side, at 26 feet long, it offers seating for eight people, four of whom can sit at the free-standing dinette table. Many reviewers have raved about the Murphy bed, saying that it’s one of the most stable and solid options in the Feather’s segment. Jayco installs night lights and USB ports on either side of the bed, offering drawer storage underneath the couch when the bed is folded up.
At the rear, the kitchen has ample storage, with plenty of drawer and cabinet space. It has a 12-volt refrigerator and a three-burner stove, though the 17-inch oven isn’t the most accommodating for many standard pan sizes. The bathroom is near the kitchen and has nice details, such as a curved curtain bar and a flexible shower curtain.
The Jay Feather 21MML also has Jayco’s JaySmart lighting system. The feature coordinates exterior lighting elements for better visibility, such as flashing all lights on one side when the turn signals are activated. It also brings high-mounted lights that make the trailer far more visible on the road. Additionally, JaySmart includes bright LED backup lights that make reversing the trailer much less stressful at night.
Other features include the JayPort system, which has mounting points for grills and other camping gear. Jayco also employs Goodyear tires, which are among the best trailer tires in the industry. Finally, the company backs the Jay Feather 21MML with a two-year limited warranty and a three-year structural warranty.
