Class C motorhomes are the middle child of RVs, splitting the difference between smaller, less accommodating models and the larger, harder-to-maneuver vehicles many gravitate toward. They generally range in length between 25 and 35 feet and often ride on a modified cutaway van chassis. Jayco offers a few options in the class, so let’s take a closer look at what’s available.
Redhawk SE 22CF
The Redhawk SE 22CF has a 24-foot, 8-inch length and a GVWR of 12,500 pounds. It can sleep up to five people and rides on a Ford E-350 van platform. It’s easy to handle and maneuver, and its light weight makes it easier on fuel economy than many competitors. It also has a slide-out queen bed and can sleep a guest in the convertible dinette or cabover bunk.
Melbourne 24L
The Melbourne 24L measures 25 feet, 2 inches long, and can sleep four people. It uses a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter base and is available with a diesel engine, which significantly improves its fuel efficiency. Though small, the Melbourne offers a mirrored wardrobe and a swivel-mounted TV in the cabover bunk.
Greyhawk 27U
With sleeping accommodations for up to seven people and a 29-foot, 11-inch length, the Greyhawk is one of the larger RVs on this list. Using a Ford E-450 van platform as its base, the RV is more luxurious and feature-packed than the Redhawk. It offers a galley-style kitchen with a dual-basin sink, a wall-mounted TV in the bedroom space, and a king-size bed.
Redhawk SE 22AF
The SE 22AF is the same length as the Redhawk 22CF but features a more robust kitchen with a refrigerator and additional storage. It also has a mini bathroom with a separate sink, and the dinette converts for additional sleeping capacity.
Redhawk 29XK
The 29XK is 32 feet, 6 inches long, and can sleep up to six people. Slightly larger than its Redhawk counterparts, it has a Ford F53 base and plenty of interior space. The RV has a large U-shaped dinette and a cabover bunk, and the swivel chairs allow passengers to create an open space to socialize.
Redhawk 31F
The 31F is the same length as the 29XK, but it increases the sleeping capacity to seven, with bunks in the back third of the coach. It also has tablet holders, privacy curtains, angled countertops, and a large fridge.
Seneca 37L
The 37L is the longest vehicle on this list, checking in at 39 feet, 4 inches long. It rides on a Freightliner S2RV Plus base and sleeps up to nine people. The interior has four slide-outs, a bunk bed, a residential-sized refrigerator, and plenty of seating space for the whole family.
